The Tee Box (officially known as the teeing ground!)
On the Tee Box, good etiquette requires that you stand 10 - 15 feet behind the player who is hitting the ball - you will be looking at her/his back). If it is not
possible to stand behind the player, then be out of the peripheral vision of the player. Please be silent and still.
Often new players use their favourite club on the first tee. That way you are more assured of starting off on a positive note.
This is the only area where you will use a tee.
